Clémentine MargaineGo Back
French mezzosoprano Margaine studied at the Paris conservatory before joining the Ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. She has played the title role in Carmen on numerous occasions, both in Berlin and in other cities including Paris, Washington and Rome. She made her Australian debut in the 2017/18 season as Amneris (Aida), the character she has chosen for her return visit to the Liceu, where she was first seen as Léonor (La favorite). Her most recent performances include Carmen in New York and London, and Dulcinée (Don Quichotte) in Berlin.
